Colla Voce can visit your setting and tailor a class to your needs!
School visits: We currently have 3 primary school classroom programmes designed to be delivered over a 6-week period.
♫ Tune into Singing – Voice Care & Choral Work. This course touches on theory elements but focuses mainly on practical skills developed through fun. It explores breathing, aural skills, how the voice works, harmony & etiquette of performing as a group.
♫ Tune into Music – A theory & exploration based mixed bag approach. I incorporate learning about the orchestra, conducting & varied musical genres while touching on performance. Children will gain proficiency in reading notation, rhythm vs beat, sight reading, percussion & pitch.
♫ Tune into Stage – Drama & Musical Theatre. Children learn about the fundamentals of stage, the many roles involved & teamwork through a series of games, improvisations, staged songs & script work. A much more active class which can work towards a finished excerpt from a musical. This is focused on the learning journey rather than producing a display, but other classes often provide an informal audience on our last session.
